Our story

Welcome to La Forneria Belga, your Belgian fresh bakery on the Spanish coast.

The story of La Forneria started a long time ago at one of those many holidays to our permanent place in Spain. Although we greatly appreciate spanish cuisine, we still missed, as so many turned out, a nice loaf of bread.

It wasn't until Maarten started his training as a baker at 'ter groene poorte' in Bruges that the idea grew that Spain could be an ideal place to start a bakery.

The passion for quality and taste grew and the urge to become independent grew stronger. One day Maarten said goodbyeto his steady job in a Belgian bakery to take the big step.

On February 14, 2019, the "La Forneria" bakery was solemnly opened.

Since its opening, we have been able to deliver the Belgian bakery quality we are used, using a mix of Spanish and Belgian raw materials.

We would like to welcome you to take the test and taste our freshly baked products. You can take away all these products, neatly packaged, and where necessary we will be happy to help you with your choice.

Better still, you can come to us for breakfast or lunch, or for a coffee with one of our sweet buns.
